We invite you to take on this special challenge.

On March 20, 2020 Michaelites around the world in the spirit of concern for the entrusted part of the Church, reading the signs of the times, will take part in the Day of Penance. Join us!

Let us together, on this day, fast (bread and water only – if you can), take an hour-long individual prayer meditation in the presence of God, pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and perform acts of mercy.

Let the voice of Father Bronisław Markiewicz himself be for us a word of encouragement. He wrote in the Records of Internal Life on August 1, 1878: “It is not enough for one deed or more virtue, you need to have the Spirit of Christ constantly – the spirit of poverty, self-denial, mortification, humbleness, love – you have to put on your clothes, take Christ on yourself.”

Let us, in a sense of special spiritual unity, undertake the work of penance and mortification.

Holy Mary, pray for us!
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle!

Where does prayer come from? Whether prayer is expressed in words or gestures, it is the whole man who prays. But in naming the source of prayer, Scripture speaks sometimes of the soul or the spirit, but most often of the heart (more than a thousand times). According to Scripture, it is the heart that prays. If our heart is far from God, the words of prayer are in vain.
